This style has the needle go in and out of the fabric. It is commonly used for assembling peaces with hand patchwork, simple seams, quilting, and to support padded stitch.

This style of stitching has the needle passing in and out of fabrics on a circle pattern. It’s a running stitch that goes back to the unfilled spaces. This type of stitch makes the fabric attachment sturdy. You can use this type of stitching for zippers or on easing sleeves. This is actually a better option than the running stitch.
